Wedding Flowers at the Safety Harbor Spa

Colors that remain hot this year for weddings are still fuchsia, lime green and orange. Flowers that come in those colors are hydrangeas, roses and cymbidium orchids. This wedding at the Safety Harbor Spa was in the Four Seasons Ballroom and the room looked great with these colors. A Bride's personality shines when she chooses the right colors and this one says fun, classy and elegant. Call us to assist with ideas to create your perfect flowers for your unique style and tastes.

Choosing a Wedding Florist in the Tampa Bay Area

Reading a competitors advice on Wedding Wire gave me pause this week when I read that any florist working from their home is just working part time and it should be considered a hobby for them. I had to laugh because even though I am home based I hardly consider the 50 hour work week I put in part time. She then went on to say that a home based business would never own a walk in cooler and I own two full size walk in coolers! I am sure her advice was well meant and she just is ignorant to the change in the times. I know several florists that work full time at their profession and provide an excellent product from their home. I choose to stay home based because I love the convenience of it- not to mention the tax breaks! I also choose to own a flower cooler, buy the best quality flowers I can find and love what I do. So my advice to brides when you choose a wedding florist would be to check on references, view pictures of their actual work, get a contract that defines the flowers you will receive but most of all - trust your own instincts. I love working with brides and enjoy the planning process of assisting the bride with all her floral choices. I believe you have choices and that whether or not the florist you choose works from home or from a rented retail space - you can choose them for their talent, their service and their professionalism.
Thanks To Stephen Dohring for the image of a recent bridal bouquet. He is an amazing photographer and we always enjoy working with him.

Wedding Flowers at Honeymoon Island 1-23-10

Tonights wedding was at the romantic Honeymoon Island in Dunedin Florida. The bride chose white calla lilies and dendrobium orchids to go with her white and mermaid color scheme. It was the perfect choice of color to pick up the shades of the sea and blended perfectly with her beach setting. Keeping her style simple and elegant she rented our shell bubble bowls with orchids and candles for her centerpieces and had pretty silver frames for her favors. Congratulations Ashely and Josh - we wish you many years of happiness.

Wedding Flowers at Innisbrook - With Arch or Without ?

When choosing a place for an outdoor ceremony, we always recommend a venue that allows for a back up plan- like Innisbrook Resorts in Palm Harbor Florida. When you first start planning your wedding, you may be so excited that you fail to think about the what ifs. Besides rain, frigid cold weather or extreme winds have been the causes for an outdoor ceremony to head indoors. So choosing a place that has back up space will save you a lot of stress later on. Besides choosing the location, you may want to use the beautiful background as is or add an arch to enhance the already beautiful setting. So many of you have asked me what Innisbrook looks like both ways that I am posting pictures for you to see and to make the choice that is best for you. The flowers on your arch are used on the head table later and also become a better solution if your wedding does get moved in. Without an arch, you would then have nothing. Just food for thought.
Call us to assist with all your floral needs and remember we will assist with any changes to your order that occur because of weather. It is a good question to ask your florists when you are in the interview process, because there are quite a few that will not help.

Wedding Flowers at the Don Cesar

The best way to find a bridal florist is to ask your friends who they used and what their experience was. We never stop striving to become better but I am proud that so many of our clients recommend us to their very best friends and use us for all their daughters. One of our favorites was Leila Zschau . We have enjoyed working with their family on every occasion . Leila is wonderful person- thoughtful, funny and kind and has raised very special girls so we just want to thank you for all the memories and leave you with her comments.

Debbie was amazing to work with. This was our third wedding with Brides Bouquet and Debbie listened to our daughter and came up with a totally original and beautiful floral plan for our wedding. The flowers were gorgeous and the arrangements spectacular in the King Charles Room at the Don Cesar hotel. It is a pleasure to work with Debbie and if we had another daughter she is the only florist I would consider. Leila

Morton Plant Fundraiser at Innisbrook with Decor and Flowers by The Bride's Bouquet

Most people recognize as for flowers and weddings but most do not know that we can provide and design props for Fundraisers, batmizvahs and corporate events. We provided all the backdrops for MP and they were almost 30 feet tall. We even allowed for the real doors to the ballroom to open where the doors to the backdrop where. The backdrops can either be painted or printed and in any size. The white benches and streetlights were provided by us and all the lighting. It was fun to make the street signs with all the sponsors names on them. So now you know, The Bride's Bouquet can supply a complete package from special decor to linens to lighting. Hilton Clearwater Beach Wedding with Flowers by The Bride's Bouquet

Beach weddings at the Hilton Clearwater Beach are so romantic and the flowers just enhance the natural scenery. The flowers from the arch can be used to decorate the head table later and are easily moved. It is one way to maximize your floral budget. This particular arch works as well outside as it does on the deck or in a private room or it looks fabulous as a backdrop for the cake.
Brides today have so many options and we would be happy to assist you with your special day.

Wedding at The Don Cesar with Flowers by The Bride's Bouquet

A classic black and white scheme is always chic and our latest addition to our rental items is the tall black pilsner vase. It looks fabulous with the drapes in the King Charles Room at The Don Cesar and I love the all ivory and white look but the flowers would look great in any color. We can make recommendations for floral designs at your first appt and at your next appt you can preview a sample centerpiece. This is a great opportunity to make adjustments before you approve the design. Be sure to follow us on facebook to see our most recent weddings. http://www.facebook.com/#/pages/Palm-Harbor-FL/The-Brides-Bouquet/191375787062?ref=ts

New Years Eve Wedding at The Rusty Pelican with DJFelix

When you think about a romantic wedding, candles and lighting and New Years Eve come to mind. Tara and her Mother came to me and described their vision of the glow of candlelight and we took it from there. Since the ceremony was going to be after dark, we really wanted the gazebo at The Rusty Pelican to glow . We added lots of lighting, crystals to catch the light , white willowy branches and yards of organza. The effect was more than the bride had expected and she was thrilled.
It is always very rewarding to exceed the expectations of the bride!
Felix was the DJ and it was the best party in Tampa Bay ( www.felixthedj.com) He is amazing!
As we ushered out 2009 , we are looking forward to 2010 and it looks like it is going to be a banner year. We have weddings booked at the Don Cesar, The Sandpearl, Davis Island Garden Club , Innisbrook, St Pete Yacht Club and many more. There isn't a location we have not been. So when you are considering a florist, we would love the opportunity to meet with you . Call us at 727.785.2562 or visit our facebook page for more pictures- The Bride's Bouquet ( Palm Harbor).
Happy New Year!
